Our friend Dennis Baraw (right), the regular bassist for the Carlton Owens Trio, is away on a teaching gig in Costa Rica. Sitting in for him Sundays at Square One will be Chris Enghauser (left), the bass clef virtuoso who provides the bottom line Wednesdays at the Porterhouse Grill for Primetime Jazz, played Winterville a week ago with Curly Maple, and looked the part of Bond -- James Bond -- at Hodgson Concert Hall last year for the Monteverdi Vespers. Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, I'll be at Square One Sunday for the jazz brunch (around noon to around four).
